Work in progress, 2021
The utopia of a seaside, of a horizon. The slowness and temporality of the south. Who are the people who inhabit this land, which is bordered by water and surrounded by the sea? I would like to propose a poetic reflection on the way the territory is thought, lived and told. By creating pictorial images and by focusing my work on colour and form, I open up a reflection on the way in which we can represent the simple things of everyday life. In an evocation of sensations, I address the different experiences and approaches we have with objects and what they tell us about our ways of thinking and living. The arid expanses that the sun has long burnt. And this sun, bright, burning, which underlines everything and surrounds it with black.
These images are part of an ongoing new body of work.
